Update:
Some good news for once! My dad got back some test results recently that indicated his cancer cell count was down. He’s still scheduled for 3 more sessions of chemo. After that, there’s a possibility they’re going to just lance out the rest through surgery. They said it wasn’t quite in remission, so my dad isn’t really out of the woods yet.
The insurance company still hasn’t gotten back to us. We’re still waiting on their response from the paperwork we sent them. The hospital has been helpful and understanding; however, the bills are still piling on and they’re getting scarier with each passing week. We’re getting bills and reminders almost bi-weekly at this point.
As I mentioned, I got some luck with a job interview. I think I did well. I think I might get the job. Here’s hoping, I mean… The bad part about this is the waiting process. They told me they could take up to 2 weeks, which means I still can’t help my parents with bills.
It’s gotten harder especially this month since my grandmother had to go to the hospital for a few days after she fell ill. She’s out now, but the bills for her hospital stay are going to the fall on the shoulders of my grandfather and my parents.
So, as you can imagine money is an issue once again. I really hate asking again, but I need help from you all. If you click the link above, you can donate to help my family. Every amount counts, really. I understand things are tough for all of us right now, so I understand if you can’t help, but if you could signal boost for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Here’s my remix of Radiohead’s “Nude”. I did it a couple of years ago when they offered up stems as a promotion/contest thing. Sadly, I only got 28 votes. Too high-falootin’, maybe? I dunno. Here is a download link, if anyone’s interested.

Please Sign! We Need Comprehensive Transgender Health at CWHC
To the Chicago Women’s Health Center:
We demand the following things:
1. A statement of apology taking responsibility and accountability for the historical exclusion of transgender women, transfeminine, and trans female people from your health services. This statement should explain why this “women’s” health center chose to prioritize services to transgender men, transmasculine, and trans male people over transfeminine-identified people. This statement should be readily accessed from the CWHC website.
2. Rewriting each line of “women’s” to be “cisgender women’s” where intended and/or applicable on the CWHC website.
3. A comprehensive plan to include services for transgender women that includes public and transparent benchmarks that may be easily accessed from the CWHC website. Those services include:
a. Feminizing Hormone Replacement Therapy
b. Trans prostate examination
c. Fertility awareness and/or options for trans female people
d. Continual education on the particularities of trans female-spectrum health issues
Failure to comply with and/or address such a comprehensive plan will result in the changing of the name of Trans Greater Health Project into Transmasculine Greater Health Project.
Furthermore, we encourage more community development and ties among the transgender women’s, transfeminine, and trans female community. Employing transfeminine-spectrum people to your staff would be encouraged.
Lastly, we encourage anyone supporting the CWHC and/or the Trans Greater Health Project to unabashedly, critically, and courageously point out the disparities between their transgender health services at the current state it is in.
this is important, lets all take a moment to sign it.
Remember that thing I reblogged Majestic’s post about a few days ago? This is that thing and a (somewhat) concrete way to help; please do it.

To everyone so outraged about Trayvon Martin, please meet Abdul al-Awlaki. Notice his birth certificate, he’s an American, born in Colorado.
Abdul was a 16 year old American citizen that was murdered on orders of our very own President. His crime? That his father was a suspected Al Qaida member.
Unlike the Trayvon Martin situation there is no grey area here. This teenager was specifically targeted and killed because of his religious and ethnic background and who his family was.
He committed no crime, he was guilty of nothing yet he was murdered by a drone strike.
WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU PEOPLE WHEN THIS TEENAGER WAS MURDERED?
WHERE WERE YOU PEOPLE WHEN THE SAME PRESIDENT WHO SCORED POLITICAL POINTS COMMENTING ON ONE TEENAGERS DEATH ORDERED THE DEATH OF ANOTHER AMERICAN TEEN?
You look foolish. You look uniformed, you look ignorant because you are. In one situation we have what appears to be an extremely unfortunate, tragic mistake and we have Congressmen on the house floor wearing hoodies and thousands protesting and screaming for justice.
On the other hand you have a child who was intentionally targeted and assassinated on the orders of the President yet you turn a blind eye. This country makes my stomach turn.
